Covenant House
Every year, more than 50,000 kids and parents in crisis across
the United States and Canada call the Covenant House Nineline, a
national, toll-free crisis hotline which operates 24-hours a day.
With a database of over 30,000 shelters and organizations, the
Covenant House counselors can provide immediate crisis counseling
and refer callers to help in their area. In addition, Covenant
House has Substance Abuse Programs which offer help to youth
addicted to alcohol or drugs.
Girls and Boys Town National
Hotline
The Girls and Boys Town National Hotline is a 24-hour crisis,
resource and referral line. Accredited by the American
Association of Suicidology, the Hotline is staffed by trained
counselors who can respond to your questions every day of the
week, 365 days a year.
National Youth Network
The mission of National Youth Network is to educate parents of
troubled teens on child behavior including attention deficit
disorder, ADD, ADHD, drug abuse, teen depression, behavior
modification or intervention programs such as wilderness
programs, boarding schools, residential treatment and other
adolescent programs. Their Web site has a list of treatment
facilities and advice on how to choose a program.
